GRANTS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION

The Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security and Public Safety manages over $400 million in federal and state grants.  Of this amount, about $40 million is for public safety programs, including domestic violence prevention, intervention, and awareness.

The Mayor’s Office received $1.1 million in federal grants in 2010 for domestic violence programs from the Department of Justice.
